It should never be I used to!
It should never be I used to feel fit
It should never be I used to do sports
It should never be I used to workout
It should never be I used to be strong, have no pain in my joints
It should never be I used to be confident in my body.
We need to feel fit/strong now and especially as we get older.
I mean have you seen how the youth treat our elders 😨? I’m good, I’d rather take care of myself for as long as possible.
Your shifted priorities (family, work, responsibilities in general) should not be an excuse for you to not take care of yourself.
Getting fit again or even fitter than your old self is much easier than you think. Please do not get discouraged/overwhelmed by the current fitness industry.
- sorry for the picture with my shirt off. Please do not compare yourself to me or anyone else online with their shirt off (I know there is a lot). Unfortunately, many of us are attracted to what we think it means to be fit. Im hoping to just grab your attention and prove a point.Â
I’d like to shift your idea of health & fitness.
Changing my idea of fitness, lowering my standards and keeping it extremely boring and simple, yet super effective and not time consuming at all, is what has kept me fit over the last few years. I also feel much better than when I was 20, man I’m almost 20x2 now (sounds better 😀). Even though I have been through soooo many injuries.
I don’t follow trends, I don’t want to be a gymnast, bodybuilder, yogi, be able to do the splits, or a new HIIT routine every day.
I just want to have a good posture, be strong, confident in my physical ability, look good (or at least try of course 😚), beat my children in a game of one-on-one for as long as possible and be able to run to the train if I’m late (which happens a lot).
If your career and family have taken over, your fit self is no where to be found and your 20-year-old you would be disappointed in your 20x2 year old self, I’d love to help you get back to your old self so that your future you can be thankful. Check out my free video (don’t worry, you don’t need to enter your email to watch it 😀) on the 4 truths to get fit (or at least my truths). It’s boring and about 15mins (so bring some time) but gives you all the tools you need to get fit again and not get distracted by so many trends. check it out here: https://www.patrick-cole.com/personaltraining
I’d be happy to hear any thoughts/questions you may have.
